BOUBOULAM is a fashion archive dedicated to collecting and studying works from Helmut Lang’s original era (1986–2005).
We source and curate Helmut Lang archival pieces from around the world, presenting them in a museum-style environment for everyone who shares an appreciation for the brand. As a pioneering designer whose work has influenced generations of fashion labels, Helmut Lang remains a significant figure in contemporary fashion history. Through this archive, we hope these important garments can be not only viewed, but experienced firsthand.In addition to our Helmut Lang collection, selected exhibition areas such as GIBO showcase archival works from other influential European fashion houses, including Tom Ford-era Gucci, Giorgio Armani,Dirk bikkerbergs and more.
Our studio is based in Shanghai and is open to the public by appointment. Every visit includes a guided presentation by our archive team. We also offer acquisition and rental services for selected archival pieces.
